A South Africa-China
Business Forum was held in Beijing on 5th Dec., and President Zuma
and about 100 South African companies operating in sectors such as finance,
infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, mining and capital equipment
participated.
Held by Minister of
Trade & Industry of South Africa, Ministry of Commerce of China, SASAC of
China, The forum provided South African companies with an opportunity to show
case what they can offer, as well as giving them a chance to forge business
relationships with enterprises in China.
The Group and other 150
Chinese enterprises also attended as members. Experts feel there is a real
demand for South Africa’s rich mineral resources from countries such as
China.
