China’s two-day
rural work conference closed in Beijing on Tuesday. As the last high-level
meeting of the year, the conference reviewed China’s achievements in agriculture
in 2014, and set goals for the coming year.

	Building a modern
agricultural system is still the country’s priority in agricultural development.
In addition, China will explore the consumption potential in rural areas, and
invest more in rural infrastructure.

	Food safety is
another big concern, which is considered the most important purpose of
developing a modern agricultural system in China. Moreover, China will continue
to push urbanization and deepen rural reforms in 2015.
